Los taxis en Lima

En general, los taxis pirata o ilegales es una costumbre extendida por toda Sudamérica. En Lima, lo difícil es encontrar un taxi legal. Cualquiera puede pintar las palabras "Taxi" en su "auto" o puede comprar una señala que ponga "Taxi" y pegarla en el techo.

Pero lo malo de los taxis en Lima no es que sean un negocio ilegal y que cuando los uses estés fomentando el negocio ilegal. Lo malo de los taxis en Lima es que pueden ser peligrosos: en muchas guías y páginas web se comentan casos de turistas que han sido robados por taxistas (en vez de llevarte a donde le has pedido, te llevan a un callejón donde le esperan unos cómplices) o incluso secuestrados y retenidos durante varios días para obligarle a sacar dinero con su tarjeta de crédito.

Pueden ser "leyendas urbanas", pero algunos gobiernos avisan a sus ciudadanos de estos peligros:
